Our Purpose

The purpose of Immanuel Lutheran School, as a part of the ministry of our congregation, is to proclaim and show the message of God’s love to children of our congregation and community so that they might come to faith in Jesus Christ. Our purpose is to nurture their Christian faith and equip them to live and serving as disciples of Jesus Christ. Each child and family, therefore, is an opportunity for mission in response to God’s command to “teach all nations.”

Core Values

We are committed to provide children a Christ Centered Curriculum, Academic Excellence, and a Safe Environment.

Learn By Doing

The Curriculum at Immanuel offers a complete education for all students in Preschool through 8th grade. Following our motto “We teach Christ in all things”, our teachers use the Bible as a point of focus in every subject. All core subjects are taught in light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Religious instruction takes place daily except for Wednesday, when all students and faculty worship together in chapel with family and friends.

Music, art, physical education, band, robotics and technology classes are also taught with Christ as the focal point in the instruction. Assemblies, outdoor education, and field trips are also scheduled by the teachers to enhance and broaden the scope of our instructional program.

We teach, proclaim, and live Christ in all things.

The mission of Immanuel Lutheran School is to provide each student with a quality, Christian Education. This is done through a partnership parents that is committed to teaching the Christian faith according to Lutheran doctrine; developing each student’s skills, abilities to his/her potential; and integrating the Christian faith into all school subjects and activities.

Immanuel students are encouraged to participate in community recreation programs.

Immanuel’s band program is a pay to play program. It cost around $5,000 per year and an average of $350.00 per student. The fee can be offset through a variety of fundraisers, the more you raise the less you pay. A band program that consists of small – group lessons, band rehearsals, and special performances is available for students of grades 5 – 8. For more information contact the school office.

A weekly chapel service for all students and staff is held each Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. Parents/Grandparents are also invited. Students are encouraged to exercise Christian stewardship by giving a weekly offering. These offerings are used for charities and materials selected by the staff.

Immanuel Lutheran School has two Choirs:
† Cherub Choir is for students in grades 1st-4th. Rehearsals will be held during school and the directors are Mrs. Jean Anderson, and Mrs. Aimee Chrzan.

† Alleluia Choir is for students in grades 5-8. Rehearsals will be held during school. Director will be Mrs. Lisa Schultz.

The main purpose of our Choir is to enhance our worship services; therefore, it is imperative that all choir members be present when scheduled to sing. Children of non – members are encouraged to take part in choir with the understanding that they are expected to attend Immanuel’s services when the choir is scheduled to sing. The choirs will sing for the 6:30 p.m. on Saturday or the 8:00 a.m. or the 10:30 a.m. services on Sunday. Scheduled dates will be posted in the school newsletter. Choir students are to wear their blue polo shirts.

It is the belief of Immanuel Lutheran Church that it is very important for children and their families to attend worship at Christmas. Since the school is a direct arm of ministry for Immanuel Lutheran Church, it is congregational policy that the program be held on Christmas Eve at 5:30 p.m. (45 minutes in length). The Christmas program is a school program which requires a great deal of class time to prepare and offers a direct application of what is taught. It is important for students to participate as a group and work together to bring the Good News of Christ’s birth to each other and to those who come to listen. The Christmas program has been a tradition of Immanuel and is an integral part of the school’s heritage.
