Immanuel Lutheran School welcomes contributions to help us fulfill our mission of providing a high-quality Christian education for students in the Alpena, Michigan area.
Currently, we're seeking funds for our school expansion campaign, which includes the opening of our Lutheran high school in Fall 2026.

$100k Match Challenge
Remodeling work has started at the new school building on Pinecrest. Your generous donation will defray construction costs, keeping us on-schedule and reducing the amount Immanuel needs to borrow.
If we can raise $100,000 for the Immanuel Lutheran School Expansion before December 31, 2025, a generous group of anonymous donors has offered to match us for a total of $200,000.
Contributions can be made in several different ways, including:
Cash or check (by mail or with special envelopes available in the church narthex)
Credit / debit card via the portal
Wire transfer (to our account at AAACU)
Required minimum distributions from your IRA
If mailing a check, indicate "School Expansion Fund" in the memo field and send it to Immanuel Lutheran School, 355 Wilson St., Alpena, MI 49707

Have an IRA?
You may be required to take a required minimum distribution before December 31, 2025. This can potentially put you in a higher tax bracket next year.
If you’re age 70 ½ or older, the IRS lets you make a tax-free qualified charitable distribution instead.
By naming Immanuel Lutheran School as a recipient, you'll help provide a high-quality Christian education to students in Alpena and the surrounding area while also reducing your taxable income for next year.
Making a QCD is quick and easy, and in many cases you can do it directly from your plan's online dashboard. Talk to your IRA plan administrator for personalized instructions.

Anonymous Donations
If you'd like to contribute to Immanuel's School Expansion Capital Campaign but wish to remain completely anonymous, we are in the process of setting up a secure, 100% anonymous pathway for giving.
You will be able to contribute by wire transfer, mailed check, or in-person at our bank.
